So…Sometime in the last few years, I started to care about furniture and furniture design - to the point, where, a couple of months ago, I had an excellent conversation with a Design Within Reach salesperson about whether the Eames egg chair could be custom-upholstered with a more plushier fabric. Never mind that I’m not in a position to blow $2000+ on a designer chair with custom fabric right now, I just really wanted to know if it could be done.

Anyway, one of the advantages of moving across country was being able to sell/trash all of my old furniture, guilt free! And although I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to devote to decorating, I’ve been having fun, nonetheless, looking at design blogs, deciding on color schemes, and brainstorming purchases for my new home.

So far, I have decided that I absolutely must have this acrylic CB2 “peekaboo” desk and this skinny IKEA bookshelf in black.

On my wish-list for the future: an upholstered headboard, a tall mirrored dresser like this one, and the aforementioned egg chair with plushier fabric, of course.
